sells licenses over the phone and online, 24 hours a day, 7
days a week. The number for a phone license is 1-888-814-8972.
In minutes you'll have a temporary license number enabling you
to hunt, (in season) or fish right away. There is fee of $3.95
for the processing over the phone or a $3.25 for online purchase.

| The TWRA is funded by two primary sources:
license/permit sales and federal excise taxes (Pittman-Robertson
and Wallop-Breaux). Tennessee's allocation of these federal
taxes is based in part, on the number of hunters and fishermen
in the state. The TWRA does not receive any funding from the
State's general fund (i.e. state sales tax). Thank you for buying
a license. Without your support, Tennessee would not have fish
and wildlife management programs. |
