We started our about 6:15 a.m. and the water temp was 56 degrees. Water is still dingy with some floating debree so be careful boating. We pulled up to a spot with some laydowns in defeated creek. First cast a 16 1/2 inch crappie. Another 16 incher immediately followed and we caught about 5 more big crappie then we started catching some small throwbacks. The water warmed up to 60 degrees and the crappie are just now moving up to spawn so next couple of weeks will be really good as the spring rains warm the water up to mid 60's and more fish will be moving in the shallows.
