The bass are starting to show up on the flats and humps up on the lake. Throw carolina rigs and crank baits pass these areas and slam them into the tops and edges. Lots of fish are still being caught on the rip rap (buck bass). TVA has had an enormous amount of water flowing through the dam with flow rates as high as 100,000 CFS (cubic feet per second) over the last week and a half making the rock fish bite tough. Lots of blue cats are being caught right now below Nickajack with a client of mine catching a 70+ lb blue while drifting for rockfish. What a fight. I wil be somewhere on the lake either on the rip rap on fishing the edge of a hump.
